Rachel Eden Baumann (she/her) is a writer, magazine editor, and emerging poet who lives in the Deep Cove area of North Vancouver on the beautiful, unceded territory of the Tsleil Waututh Nation. She began her education in North Vancouver and continued across Burrard Inlet to Simon Fraser University on top of Burnaby Mountain. She studied English, Humanities, and Communications at SFU in the 2000s.

Since 2021, she has worked in various roles for The Wild Bird Trust of BC, an Indigenous-led conservation non-profit that protects wild birds and restores the land around Maplewood Flats on Burrard Inlet. She and the team also publish Wingspan Magazine: The Voice for Birding, Conservation, and Reconciliation. Since 2024, she has been a regular contributor to Wingspan, and since 2026, she has been the magazine's Assistant Editor, as well as a regular contributor. She is currently working on a chapbook influenced by Dr. Ian McGilchrist’s writing. She is also working on two upcoming book projects: one work of ecopoetry rooted in land and nature, and another on technology's impact on mental health.
